The knowledge base is everything your agent can draw on to answer questions during a conversation. Connect the sources that describe your business, products, and policies so the agent responds with accurate, up-to-date information. You manage it from the Knowledge base section of the agent settings.
Source types
Your agent draws on three kinds of sources:
| Source | What it is |
|---|
| Files | Documents you upload (PDFs, spreadsheets, and other files) for the agent to reference. |
| Websites | Pages from a website. Use a single page or crawl all pages of a site, such as starkindustries.com. |
| Catalogs | Structured product or property catalogs the agent can pull listings and details from. |
Each category has its own Manage button, which you use to add, edit, or remove sources within that category.
The agent only uses the sources you enable. Anything you leave disabled is ignored, even if it is still listed here.
Adding files
Use files for the documents that describe how Stark Industries operates: spec sheets, pricing PDFs, policy documents, and similar references.
Open Manage on Files
In the Knowledge base section, click Manage on the Files category.
Upload the document
Add the file you want Jarvis to reference, for example a Stark Industries product PDF or a pricing spreadsheet.
Enable the source
Make sure the file is enabled. Only enabled sources are used by the agent during a conversation.
Adding a website
Use websites to point the agent at content you already publish, so it stays in sync with what you say publicly.
Open Manage on Websites
In the Knowledge base section, click Manage on the Websites category.
Choose a single page or the whole site
Add one page on its own, or crawl all pages of a site such as starkindustries.com so the agent can draw on every page.
Enable the source
Make sure the website is enabled so Jarvis uses it when answering questions.
Adding a catalog
Use catalogs when the agent needs to pull structured listings and details, such as Stark Industries products or properties.
Open Manage on Catalogs
In the Knowledge base section, click Manage on the Catalogs category.
Add the catalog
Add the structured product or property catalog the agent should pull listings and details from.
Enable the source
Make sure the catalog is enabled so the agent can reference its listings.
Keep only the sources you want the agent to rely on enabled. Disabling a source removes it from the agent’s answers without deleting it, so you can turn it back on later.
