Where each setting lives, and what changes when you edit it on the agent or on one task. Last verified: 2026-09-25.

The short answer

Editing on the agent changes every task

The agent’s pane is a shared view of its tasks. When you save a setting there, Nexor writes it into every task of the agent:
  • Channels: turning a channel on or off applies to every task.
  • Schedule: the saved days, hours, and daily attempts are copied to every task, including tasks that had their own schedule. The time zone and Outside those hours stay per task. See Contact hours and cadence.
  • Knowledge base: adding or removing a folder applies to every task.
  • Role, company, and language from Edit identity apply to every task.
When tasks use different values, the agent shows it, for example “2 tasks use another” or “Overridden by Booking”. On the task, the setting reads Shared or Custom.

Instructions are copied, not linked

Each task keeps its own copy of the instructions: What should it know?, What should it never do?, and How to handle objections?
  • While every task has the same text, editing it on the agent updates all of them.
  • Once the tasks differ, the agent can’t edit that section as one text. Open each task to change its own version.

Channels: the agent owns the line, the task decides how to use it

  • A connected number or inbox is used by one agent at a time. Assigning it to another agent makes the first one stop using it.
  • Every task of the agent can use the agent’s channels. In the task’s Channels, you can turn one off for that task, pick the First contact channel, and set the style and WhatsApp templates for that task.
  • Web chat is set up on each task.

Lead sources and data from your CRM

  • The connection to a CRM belongs to the account. Its routing decides which agent and task receive each lead, and it shows under the agent’s Lead source.
  • Data that arrives with a lead from a CRM or the API is kept with the lead. It fills a task’s Variables only where you map it.
  • See Troubleshoot CRM sync and lead intake when leads don’t arrive or fields stay empty.

What doesn’t exist

  • There is no switch to turn a whole agent on or off. Pause its tasks one by one.
  • There is no separate “defaults for new tasks” setting. New tasks start paused; review their channels and schedule before setting them live.
