# Verify your business with Meta

> Verify the business behind your WhatsApp number with Meta by asking Nexor AI, without opening Meta Business Manager. Covers benefits, eligibility, accepted documents, statuses, the 3-attempt limit, and review time.

Meta business verification confirms that the business that owns your WhatsApp number is real. You can do it by asking Nexor AI and attaching your documents in the chat. You don't need to open Meta Business Manager.

## What verification gives you

* Higher messaging limits from Meta.
* Fewer restrictions on the account.
* Access to authentication templates (one-time passcodes and verification codes).

## Who can verify here

* The number must be connected to WhatsApp through Nexor. See [Connect WhatsApp](/docs/en/guides/connecting-whatsapp.md).
* Test (sandbox) numbers cannot be verified.
* Verification belongs to the business, not to one number. Every number of the same business shares the result.
* Meta allows **3 attempts** per business, ever. After the third, you can only verify directly in Meta's Security Center.

## Documents to prepare

Send 1 to 3 files. Each one must be a PDF, JPG, or PNG of up to 5 MB. Together they must prove both of these, and match your business details in Meta exactly:

| Address | Utility bill, bank statement, or tax document |

Nexor AI tells you the legal name Meta expects before you send anything. If the name or address on your documents differs, Meta rejects the attempt.

## Verify with Nexor AI

**1. Ask for verification**

Open **Ask Nexor AI** and write something like "verify my business with Meta". If you have more than one WhatsApp number, say which one.

**2. Review the status**

Nexor AI shows the current status, the legal name Meta expects, and how many attempts you have left.

**3. Attach your documents**

Attach the files in the chat. You don't need to upload them anywhere else.

**4. Confirm the submission**

Nexor AI asks you to confirm before sending, because every submission Meta receives uses one of your 3 attempts. It sends nothing until you say yes.

**5. Check the result later**

Meta reviews in minutes to a few hours. Ask Nexor AI "how is my business verification going?" to see the current status.

> A submission cannot be undone. Check that the documents are readable and that the name and address match before you confirm.

If a file cannot be downloaded or read, the submission fails before it reaches Meta and **no attempt is used**. Send a readable file and try again.

## Statuses

| Status | What it means | What to do |
| - | - | - |
| Not verified | The business has not been verified yet. | Send your documents. |
| In review | Meta is reviewing the latest submission. | Wait and check again later. You cannot send another one meanwhile. |
| Changes requested | Meta rejected the latest submission. Nexor AI explains each reason and whether it concerns the legal name or the address. | Send corrected documents if you have attempts left. |
| Verified | The business is verified. | Nothing. |
| Attempts exhausted | All 3 attempts were used. | Verify directly in Meta's Security Center. |
| Ineligible | Meta does not accept verification for this business. | Contact Nexor support. |

## For developers

The same flow is available to any MCP client through two tools: `get_whatsapp_business_verification` reads the status, and `submit_whatsapp_business_verification` sends the documents as public HTTPS links and requires `authorized: true` after the customer confirms.
