# Edit your agent by chat

Instead of clicking through settings, you can tell the assistant what you want to change in plain language. It proposes the change as a before/after card that you review and confirm — nothing is saved until you do.

## How it works

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open your agent">
    Open the agent you want to change (its settings or detail screen). The assistant on the right is now scoped to that agent.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Describe the change">
    Type what you want in plain language — for example *"Make the tone warmer and more natural"* or *"Raise the contact attempts without being pushy"*.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the proposal">
    The assistant replies with a **Cambios propuestos** card showing the current value and the proposed one, side by side.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm or discard">
    Click **Confirmar** to save it, or **Descartar** to drop it. On confirm, the change is applied to your agent and the settings panel updates.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  Nothing is saved until you click **Confirmar**. The assistant only ever *proposes* — you have the final say on every change.
</Note>

For a full reference of each setting, see [Agent settings](/docs/en/guides/agents/settings). For writing the prompt, see [Prompt best practices](/docs/en/guides/agents/prompt-best-practices).

<Tip>
  You can keep iterating: ask for an adjustment, review the new card, and confirm — as many times as you like.
</Tip>

## Which agent gets changed

The assistant always edits the agent currently in scope — the one whose screen you have open. If it asks which agent you mean, open or select the agent first (or @mention a lead that belongs to it), then ask again.
