# Discard a Cloud Function draft

> Discard the pending code draft of a Cloud Function. The published version keeps running.

Delete the pending draft of a Cloud Function. The published code keeps running on every matching event, and the function no longer shows unpublished changes.

Calling it when there is no draft also succeeds. Discarding cannot be undone, but every published version stays available in [Versions](/docs/en/api/cloud-functions/get-cloud-functions-by-id-versions).
